About us
Part knowledge + part experience = 100% satisfaction
What distinguishes Mold Threads is not a machine list. It is that our division managers each carry more than thirty years of molded plastics experience, and they are the people who look at your part.
Who we are
Mold Threads integrates steel and aluminum mold construction with plastic injection molding, using contemporary technology and people who have been doing this since before that technology existed. Projects range from simple to complex, for recognized OEMs and specialized manufacturers who source component parts from us because their tolerance for a bad part is zero.
Quality is paramount
We deliver unsurpassed integrity and consistency in precision molded plastic components. We achieve accuracy by thoroughly examining the critical aspects of mold design at the start of a project, because we believe the quality of the tool and mold is paramount - everything downstream is either enabled or limited by it.
All production occurs on site, which gives us complete control and lets a program move from prototype to production-ready mold quickly and economically.
Standards we hold
- Zero customer rejection rate
- Minimum waste
- Reduction of cost through quality improvement
Memberships
- National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA)
- CT Plastic Council
- Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE)
- Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
Inspection programs
Because the parts we develop are specialized, we customize the quality program to the part rather than applying one checklist to everything. Our team works with your designers and engineers on critical dimensions, tolerances and parting lines, and the resulting program can include product testing, verification, inspection reports and quality assurance documentation.
Development
Parts produced by Mold Threads meet design, function and quality specifications from the outset. A precisely engineered mold reduces your development time and cost, which is the entire argument for spending more attention at the tooling stage.
A Technical Projects Manager oversees each application from development through production, so there is one person who knows the whole history of your part.
